Our Funding

Department of Health and Human Services

NH Networks receive recurrent funding from the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) through the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program (NHCP

DHHS provides coordination funding to Neighbourhood House Networks to facilitate governance and management support, advice on programs & service development, training & training resources to Neighbourhood Houses within their Network and to provide capacity building and effective linkages with and between Neighbourhood Houses and other community organisations at the local and regional level.

The level of this funding is determined by the number of Neighbourhood Houses in each Network, although the challenges of distance and the costs of travel are not factored in.

More information about our DHHS funding can be found in:

The Neighbourhood House Coordination program guidelines

Membership Fees

Our members pay a nominal annual member fee which is determined according to their DHHS funding.

Grants

Additional funding is sought through grants for network projects.
